Serving those who are responding to God’s call to love.

Kylee Blake

My call into missions is starting off sooner than I had originally anticipated. A few days ago God put it on my heart to spend about 4 weeks volunteering with the Refugee Crisis that is currently in desperate need of help and attention. My volunteering will take place in a refugee camp known as Moria, this camp is located in Lesvos, Greece. (Some of you might recall that I recently spent 3 weeks in Lesvos for ministry, so I am a bit familiar with this place.) I am anticipating to leave the United States on October 12th, 2017 to begin my time of serving in Lesvos.

Back in January, when I began my Discipleship Training School with YWAM, God really began to break my heart for His children who are suffering through this crisis. And now, 7 months later, I am being called to serve there and I could not be more honored for this call. Becoming further informed about this crisis has only filled me with more compassion and more of a desire to help. The refugees suffering through this crisis are in a desperate need of an outpour of Jesus. An outpour of His love, His peace and His light in a very dark place, as most of them come from the Middle-East where they have fled their homes and countries due to war and terrorism. I plan to serve camp Moria in any way necessary, while showing the refugees, who reside in Moria, a Jesus-like love that they so greatly need and deserve.

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.” John 13:34 NLT

I’ll be volunteering in Moria 6 days a week, for 4 weeks before heading off to France to pursue God’s vision for me there. It has been made abundantly clear to me that I am to stay in missions long term with YWAM, starting in France and going from there. Being that I am a (soon to be) full-time missionary, and this time spent in Europe is strictly voluntary, I do not get paid for my time spent in YWAM, or for my time serving the Refugee Crisis. Therefore I am in need of support in the form of prayer and finances. As I am new to this idea of trusting solely on others for support, it can seem a bit scary and overwhelming at times. However, I am grateful for this journey and how it’s leading me to trust the Lord in a way like never before.

With that being said, if you would keep me and this journey of mine in your prayers that would be so greatly appreciated. As prayers for clarity and God’s continued guidance are always welcome. The donate button is located on this page and I will receive 100% of the donations received.

If you are interested in hearing more about how you could partner with me long term and help with necessary monthly expenses beyond my time spent in Greece please contact me by email here. I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have, as well as, provide you with further details about what my time serving in Europe will look like.

As always, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me and ask away! This is a very exciting time of transition for me, as this is no longer just a 6 month trip, rather life as I know it. Thank you for your time and desire to hear more about what my life will soon look like. I can’t thank you enough for your continued support and encouragement. You truly help in making all of this possible. 🙂
